Changing Education Provider after the six-month-study in Australia

We, as an international student, might need to change the education provider if we are unsure about what we are studying at the current university or we are not keen on the current area of interest. Well, in order to do so, we need the following steps;
  1. Apply the course at the new university while studying at the current one and grab the CoE from the new university.
  2. Send that CoE and your personal details including passport number, full name, date of birth to the DIAC (Department of Immigration and Citizenship) via three options; facsimile, post and in person. The post address is, Department of Immigration and Citizenship, Att:// Student Session, DPO Box 9984, Sydney, NSW 2001. The facsimile number is 90324096.
  3. Let the faculty at current university know about discontinuing study within the 7 days after CoE was issued.

Changing education provider before the six-month study needs some implications and needs "the letter of release" and some reasons. Importantly, the current education provider has the right to refuse to issue "the letter of release". If it's happened to be the case, we've no right to change education provider until the completion of the six-month-study.

Cheers up!

P.S. The above information applies to those who are about to change education provider under the same sectors (eg. bachelor degree to bachelor). To change the different sectors educations (eg. TAFE to PhD) needs new visa label in which a lot of documentations and financial evidents will be of further necessary steps.
